History
Since the early 1900's, adoptees have remained quietly accepting their place in this country as second class citizens. Those stripped of their heredity and ancestry and expected to appreciate that which has been done to them for supposedly a better life without their biological parents. We say that we will accept that no more. We want to be treated as every other American and we want our OBC, our ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Not a falsified, altered, or amended document that states that those adoptive parents who took us in and raised us are our biological parents.
We Want Reform
Groups of adoptees and those speaking out for reform are in progress in many states. If you want to participate and help bring about change for adoptees concerning obtaining their original birth certificates, please find your state organization below.
